AYITILOKAL does not simply report the news!
With the technological advancements that come with the digital age, we believe that sources of news about Haiti are arguably somewhat widely available in Haiti and elsewhere. With this progress also come new challenges that present itself even as a social danger.

One of those emerging challenges is in the fact that the consumer of news can be easily strained by the reception of more information than is necessary that can be understood and digest in the time available or to make timely decision. Worse, in many cases some of the sources are less reliable or trustworthy than others.
The recent events that unfolded in Haiti during and after
the January 12th 2010 earthquakes can easily be used as illistrations to stress the devastating consequences information overload and irresponsible journalism.
AYITILOKAL team wants to tackle this problem and fill the gap by not simply reporting the news; but, reporting the news
- With new perspectives,
- With truthful analysis,
- And with a lot of apologetic questions.
This different approach is aimed
- To challenge the objectivity, the motivations and the honesty of those who make the news, report the news or abuse the news;
- Also to enlighten the consumers of the news – our audience and subscribers.
